Since all balloons need a name, somehow the name that was affectionately given this black beauty is "Dreampuff".
It is a new balloon manufactured by AEROSTAR Industries in March 2000. Our first balloon- "Dreampuff I" was sold to a pilot in California in April 2000 where it will provide many more hours of beautiful flying. |

Dreampuff vital statistics: stands 7 stories tall; the envelope displaces 90,000 cubic feet of air; the basket holds the pilot and 4 passengers; the fuel is liquid propane, held in two 18 gallon tanks; the power source consists of 2 burners- capable of generating +15 million BTUs of heat. When the burner's pilot light is lighted and the pressure valve is released, liquid propane is super heated, turned into vapor, then burned, causing up to 250 degrees(max allowed) of heat to be dispursed into the envelope. When the air inside the envelope is greater than the air outside the envelope, lift is created and the balloon will rise to begin another flight.
