ANNOUNCEMENT:
Our long standing community service of providing donations and contributions(silent auctions,etc.) of Hot Air Balloon Flights is now ended. This is because Maryland Comptroller's Dept. is imposing and enforcing a state admissions and amusement tax (7.5-10%) on our business in direct violation of a federal law and a US Supreme Court ruling. Comptrollers refuses to recognize that 'States are preempted by federal statute from assessing any taxes on gross receipts of aircraft flying in 'air commerce'. Further, they do not want to realize that a hot air balloon is an aircraft regulated by the FAA.
To read about this illegal back tax and future tax on my hot air balloon company, please review www.BallooningUSA.com/taxmatter and give me your thoughts! A pending (and much delayed) date for my Tax Court pre-trial hearing was finally received. It is April 14 and a Merits hearing date is June 24.
All other states in the country do not collect such a tax and are in compliance with federal law! Maryland is not in compliance with federal law. The full financial burden of legal fees is on me as I continue to pursue setting legal precedents and to prove that we are RIGHT in our fight!

BEAUTIFUL BALLOON EXPERIENCE
In the magic of the morning,
Looking around the large launch field.
Arrays of hot-air balloons inflate,
And their colors are gradually revealed.
Lifting off in the wicker gondola,
I start my heavenward ascension.
The idyllic landscape soon stretches out
To a stupendous dimension;
There is so much pristine scenery –
The rolling hills are dotted with pines.
As the earth seems to slowly rotate below,
I take in outdoor designs.
Floating serenely for a while,
Suspended in the wind’s highway,
I’m in panoramic harmony with nature;
And my mind is led astray.
The rejuvenating air is amazingly quiet
Soaring now over some hayfields and crops.
As I decline back towards the ground
I let my balloon dip to kiss the treetops.
Oh, what a time this has been;
My feelings are in complete commotion.

Rates:
Regular Flight
-- $250.00 per person for a 45-60+ minute flight. We plan flights seven days a week at sunrise and 2 1/2 hours before sunset.
Romantic Flight for Two
-- $650.00 per couple for a 45-60+ minute flight for you and that someone special alone with the pilot. Our sweetheart flights are scheduled Monday-Thursday only. If special request- call us... Are wedding proposal plans in the works? Or, do you want to treat your spouse/sweetheart to a unique experience of a hot air balloon ride?
Special Rate Discounts:
-- Repeat flyers of Friendship Hot Air Balloon will receive a 10% discount on their next regular balloon ride purchase.
-- Group or family discounts apply on the regular 45-60 minute flights when you book 3 or 4 on the same flight. Call for quote.
-- NSA(DOD) employees receive a 10% discount on regular flights.
Limitations:
We can carry up to 4 passengers at a time --BUT for safety reasons--
---maximum weight per individual passenger is 280 pounds.
---the heat of the day and total weight of passengers determine how many persons can fly each flight. We can carry up to a maximum weight of 700 pounds combined for all four passengers on a cool day. The warmer the day, the less weight we can carry.
